When I saw the Elle King Good For Nothin Woman JITV performance from Austin, it reminded me a bit of Bron-Y-Aur Stomp from Led Zeppelin III, and I liked it immediately. Being on YouTube, I poked around and realized this is the same artist that did the hit song Ex’s and Oh’s, which I already thought of as the coolest thing I’ve heard in years before knowing about Elle King…!
I also found out she’s Rob Schneider’s kid, which is just as fascinating because she’s obviously is a pure original despite having a famous comedian movie actor for a dad. Needless to say, I am now a fan and I look forward to digging up some more electrifying bluesy pop songs from this super-talented artist.
