CaliRoots The Carolina Sessions went off in Wilmington, NC’s Battleship Park on Saturday October 26. The festival flew the red, green, and yellow proudly and blasted some fantastic reggae out across the fisherman’s wharf. Bands from Tribal Seeds, The Dirty Heads, Mike Pinto, The Movement, Ballyhoo, and SoJa made the trip to the Carolina’s and did not disappoint the southern head-sect. The first year phesty selected a terrific location to serve as a backdrop for the jammin’ and as usual, filling a great place with great music led to great vibes.  Hopefully they were strong enough to bring the event back in 2015.

Screen Shot 2013-10-31 at 1.48.15 AMThe Goose Man was there when the dream started.  An OG member of the Jam in the Van Bonnaroo crew, he’s part of the team of dudes who had enough phun on the Pharm that a couple of them were inspired to run off and create a magical van.  Back in the day the Goose was wild and untamed, but he’s since settled down, gotten hitched and for the most part operates under his alter ego, Appropriate Christopher.  From time to time though, his wings get unclipped and the blessed being that is the Goose Man gets to soar again.  By soar we mean take shots of Jager.
