While surely you can Jam in the Van at any time of the day or night, six AM is just not the best time for it. Sometimes however, you have little choice. Such was the case on our first shoot in Atlanta. The South it seems got excited for the ole’ van to come around, and they called out the local news. Unfortunately the local news gets up ass early in the morning to film their segments. So we had to pick wisely when it came to what band we were going to invite to join us on our local TV debut. The sitters Von Grey seemed to fit the mold perfectly. They’re young enough that they’re still used to waking up early for school, they’re kind enough that they wouldn’t spite us for dragging them out to Criminal Records at such an un-Godly hour, they’re talented enough to Jam in the Van, most importantly, and as a bonus, they don’t look too bad smiling into a news camera.
