According to Valley Queen, who used to be named Mojo Stone, they solicited us for a session once prior, under that alternative title.  I myself was of the recollection that it was the other way around, and that we had solicited them, way back when, and invited them out to my back yard to be part of one of our very earliest sessions.  At the time they were students at Loyola Marymount, an institution that I was all too familiar with, having devoted three precious years to sort of studying the law there.  This only furthering the grey area as to whom really was courting whom.  I would like to think that if a band from a school from which I had just received a degree came a calling, I would give them a listen and an answer.  Now, assuming that their music was near to the quality that it is here today in this form, I would think that at this early time in our game, we would have been honored to have them.  However, it seems there is a discrepancy in this recollection, and barring a devoted search of past emails by myself, we may never know if Jam in the Van sought to have Mojo Stone play a session.  However, I’m glad that we didn’t, because what would we do with that now that they’ve changed their name?  It would be confusing.  It’s better the way it worked out, as is most certainly always the case…
