So this is only going to matter for tonight, but this post is going up fairly late compared to when we usually like to release our sessions. Most of you are probably headed home from work already and you folks on the East Coast are already well into your evenings. So I apologize to all of you for our tardiness today. My girlfriend and I lost our beloved cat last night when someone who had been told repeatedly to make sure to keep our front door shut so that the cats don’t wander outside, left our door ajar. Our little kitty, Ron, let curiosity get the best of her and now she’s all alone in the big scary Venice Beach world. We’ve been looking for her non-stop trying to bring her back home so she can curl up in her favorite blanket and play with her favorite toys. It’s been a pretty horrible couple of days on account of this, and unfortunately it happened to fall on the same couple of days that we are moving into our new headquarters for Jam in the Van. I would have loved to have gotten to fully enjoy the decorating and hanging out with the crew, but our pets are like family to us, so I’ve got to sit this one out while I look for our kitty.

With that in mind, I was a bit relieved when I saw that today’s release was The Diamond Light. A group whom we’ve now had the pleasure of filming three times, and hanging out with around town on a countless number. These guys are our homies, and each one of them is one of the nicest dudes you will come across in this jaded, too cool for school, music game, especially in LA. So I know they’re probably the best possible band to have this happen to. I know they’re going to be cool with the late release. They won’t get bummed at me because their SEO or whatever isn’t at it’s optimal peak when the videos go live and google searches take effect. They’re the types of dudes who get that some things are bigger than the internet.

I’m grateful that over the last five years we’ve made the acquaintance of a lot of solid musicians like The Diamond Light. I don’t mean solid in regards to their skills with their axes. Although they are sick’wit’it on that tip as well. However, I mean solid in regards to their character. I hope that counts for something in this dance, but I know that most likely is not the case. At any rate, these fellas can always count on us saving a slot for them on our card, forever. Foreva, eva…
