LA is without a doubt an iconic music town. There is history here, and it’s still being made every day. LA is also a massive parking lot. A drive from one of this town’s extremeties to the next is a clinic in urban sprawl. So we’re always most excited about getting out of Los Angeles and capturing music along this country’s rolling plains and mountains majesty. Yet, we live in Los Angeles, and we have affections for it, traffic and all. So when we meet musicians here who have the power to take us outside of the concrete jungle with their music, that’s something really special.

We met Tara Fox at The Bootleg theater, which is situated on the outkirts of Downtown Los Angeles, shall we say a less than scenic neighborhood… She played three songs, and I couldn’t tell you the exact place it felt like, but I know I dug it.
