Yo, who else grew up in North Carolina? Super Doppler was like a big thing down there when I was a kid (1991 – 2001), whereby the local news was concerned. I mean, WLOS News 13 hyped the fact that they had a “Super Doppler” for the weather channel like it was the best thing since legal pot (which still ain’t a thing in NC). Anyways, I owe a lot of snow days to Super Doppler, and I don’t know if that’s why these cats named their band after it or not, and I don’t know if Super Doppler is still the top standard in the weather prediction game, or if it’s even a thing anymore, but I dig it man, I dig it.
