We joke around a lot about good vibes, bad vibes, heady vibes, vibes in general. It’s a funny term we picked up hanging out with heads at festivals over the years, and for the most part we use it in a humorous manner, light hearted if you will. Yet having been on all of these Jam Van Journies, seen all of the music and people and places, and lived about thirty years in this world, it’s becoming a bit more of a realized term for me. Vibes, oddly enough, are a real thing. We saw them first hand when a huge crowd gathered to watch Nahko and Medicine for the People do their thing. Their medicine was good vibes via music. The people outside of the van dancing and hula-hooping were the recipients of those vibes and the result, big smiles, all around. I’m not sure if they healed anyone, but they sure do make you feel better…
