When we started Jam in the Van it was very important to us that we didn’t pigeonhole ourselves into a specific genre of music. There was plenty of reasoning behind this, not the least of which was the fact that us, the dudes behind the van, have pretty ecclectic tastes. Personally, my taste runs across the spectrum, and so if I was making a music discovery website, it was going to be one that allowed for discovery of all types of music. We wanted this to be a place to find something you might never have the occasion to find, and to take that and make it your next favorite song or musician. If we hadn’t set out to make it as such, then I may never have come across Kameron Corvet’s unique blend of R&B, soul, and guitar, and I may never have gotten the chance to have these three songs stuck in my mind. Fortunately, we did make a website that spans all genres, and our Van has to this date found countless new types of music and wonderful musicians.
