“There’s nothing you can take, there’s nothing you can say.”

Who knows why musicians so often choose to sing about pain. Sure, it’s a way of coping, and the need to feel that way is universal, but so is being happy, so why not sing about that all of the time? Happy’s more fun. Yet they don’t, they sing about being sad, a lot. Then we listen to their coping mechanisms, their songs, and somehow, sometimes, some way, they work. If only just for a moment. You feel better, or you temporarily forget, or hell, maybe you permanently forget. It could be a really good song.

So in that sense, this project of ours, this weird colorful RV, rolling around on its four wheels, destination still kind of unknown, is trying to do a little part. Here’s a guy with a guitar, who you might not have known before we put this up on the internet, singing about pain, and other shit, that you might want to listen to, now, or at some other moment in time when your mouse clicks across this post, and maybe it helped. So that’s something, if anything…
