I gotta give this one to Spud. We would have never seen or heard Jay R Beatbox if Spud hadn’t met him on the street at Life is Beautiful and introduced us. It was unclear how they met, as it was a Spud story, and there’s always a level of haze associated with those. All we were told was “Hey Jake, this the man, this the man right here. Ok, dude, meet Jake, he’s, he’s the guy you want to talk to. Alright.”
So I said let’s see a little preview, and Jay R abided, and I said, “Let’s do it,” and that was how Spud booked Jay R Beatbox in The Van.
It’s also why Spud has started demanding to be paid for his bookings and going around saying “I’m in the music business now.” So thank you for that Jay R, and thanks for this as well…
