Once upon a time… a much longer time ago then I care to accept, I was a lowly law/grad school student, whittling away hours in front of my computer. At the time I was an avid connoisseur of music, my main source of digestion for which came from the internet and the many blogs that specialize in keeping humanity hip and with it. One of my most appreciated blogs at the time and to some extent still (although the ways in which I consume music have certainly altered) was a blog named Aquarium Drunkard. It’s run by a guy named Justin Gage, and although at times I find the lengthy copy a bit difficult to plod through, the music is generally spot on and as aforementioned, made (makes) me feel pretty damn cool about myself. Even cooler when I sent it out to friends and they concurred with me.

As it happens, Mr. Gage has his own boutique label, Autumn Tone. So now that my music world and lifestyle have changed, I feel it’s important to give back to the folks that in some ways helped me get to where I am, albeit, without knowing that they were assisting. So when we get a chance to film one of the bands on Autumn Tone we no doubt jump at the opportunity. Both as a means of reparations for the loaned “cool” that Aquarium Drunkard has provided me over the years, and also because we can be assured that it’s going to be high quality stuff. There’s a lot of history on the internet to back that up…
