It was pretty standard for the bands we recorded in New Orleans to walk out of the van with their shirts soaked through with sweat. It was a toss up whether or not they’d still be smiling after cutting all that water weight. The dudes from Gold and the Rush however, showed up with smiles and those smiles remained plastered to their faces for the entire duration of the set. Then when they emerged dripping with perspiration the only thing that had changed was that the smiles were bigger. Big smiles, big rock and roll.
