It had been a long weekend.  Ten bands in two days is a bit taxing.  On top of that, it rained the entire second day.  As we’ve chronicled on here before, rain in Los Angeles is more stressful than rain anywhere else, because we’re not adept at dealing with it.  So although we had a lovely time at Filth Mart that weekend, we were ready to take our leave.  FMLYBND was the only thing standing between us and our couches.  So we were in a “let’s get this over with” mode when they arrived.  Then they hit us with the Pixies’ cover right out of the gate and all of a sudden it was like the sun was shining down on us (although it was already night time).  We got our second wind.  Our legs started getting those tremors, they worked their way up our backs, and we were all warmed up and grooving to a sound very unique to this vowel-less band.  When they were finished I was thinking they still had one more song to play, but they didn’t, and unfortunately I had to return to my couch and wait for the videos to come out…
