It was drizzling lightly in Los Angeles on the day that we filmed Communist Daughter. There had been some kind of a hold-up in our production schedule that day, a band had dropped out, a slot opened up, and so two members of Communist Daughter stepped in to fill the void. The pair who graced the van with their presence were Johnny Solomon and Molly Moore, and both were forced to ride out the rain drops with us in the parking lot of the Central S.A.P.C. They did so with nothing less than genuine happiness on their faces, and what seemed to be a general appreciation and content to be somewhere making music. Unfortunately, their management didn’t have the same smile on his face, I think the text read something along the lines of “why the hell is my band sitting around in a parking lot?”

Well sir, the answer to that is etched within these three harmonic videos that they made under what was then a not-so-waterproofed roof of the Jam Van. We hope that they serve sufficient to quell any lingering distaste that you may have had for “your band,” having to sit and hang out a while. We apologize for not texting back, we were merely too busy having fun in the rain. Which is not the best thing to do if one has someplace to be or a need to remain dry, but highly recommended if one is merely looking to retain a smile upon their face.
