When we stopped in Atlanta the Jam Van moral was at an all time low. We had some elements amongst our crew that were detracting from what we do well, which is bring good vibes to the masses. Honestly, there should never be bad vibes around the Jam Van, there’s no place for those there. It was troubling me to no end, so much so that I wavered on sticking around for the rest of the trip. On our first day of shooting I lingered in my hotel room in Atlanta until the absolute last moment, and so I showed up to Thunderbox Studios, our location for the day, about ten minutes after the first session had begun. On nothing but coincidence, our first act that day was Blake Rainey. I caught the tail end of his first song and then the second, and by the time that was over it was like a storm cloud had dissipated above my head. Everything was going to be ok, the bad shit was just temporary, and we were gonna roll on, good vibes over everything. Music is pretty amazing sometimes…
