The first time we met Billy Iuso was on a rainy day in New Orleans. He came out to play guitar with his pal Anders Osborne outside of Anders’ house. I remember he gave us a poster and signed it and we hung it on the wall where we keep all of our posters. So for the next couple of years, every time we hopped in the van we looked at a picture of Billy Iuso with his John Hancock on it. Thus it was a pleasant surprise years down the line to see him again in New Orleans on yet another rainy day. This time he came to play his own music and brought his pals with him to back it up. At the end of every session we have the musicians sign our wall of fame. So while Billy has had his signature on the walls of The Van for quite some time, it was only after he etched it on for the second time that he really left his mark…
